7 to 184 clicks a month, and 374 calls in 6 months
Brand new site, zero paid ads. 1.57K clicks and 115K impressions over 16 months, and 374 calls from Google Search and Maps in the first half of 2026 alone, from people who needed a plumber now.
For general contractors
More quote requests for the projects you want to bid on.
Contractor SEO services put your general contracting business in front of homeowners and property managers when they search for someone to quote a project. I work on your Google Business Profile, project and service pages, reviews and links, then track quote requests by project type, so you see which work SEO brings in.
Contracting work is won on trust and timing: an owner asks for three quotes and you need to be one of them. I build the work around the projects you want to bid on, on the same local SEO groundwork I use for every client.
Home additions / Whole-home renovations / Kitchens and baths / Commercial build-outs / Garages and ADUs / Structural repairs
General contractor as the primary category, the services you actually quote, project photos tagged by town and a review request when each job closes out. Most owners build their quote shortlist from the three map listings, so this profile gets the full treatment from my map pack SEO work.
A page for additions, renovations, build-outs and every other job you want more of, with your process, typical timelines and a quote form that asks the right questions. Kitchens and whole-home renovations sell on finished-project photos and budget ranges. New homes are a longer sale built on floor plans and lots, so if new construction is most of your work, the pages lead with those instead.
License number, bonding and insurance shown on the site, the same details on BBB, Houzz, Angi, Yelp, Nextdoor and Bing Places, and links from suppliers, local associations and community sponsorships. Homeowners check a license before they let anyone start an addition, so it sits on every page.
A short form on every page, click to call on mobile and galleries that load fast, so a homeowner who likes your work can ask for a quote in under a minute.
When an owner asks ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews to recommend a contractor nearby, your name, licensing and reviews need to be easy for it to find. It comes with every plan.
Daily rank tracking for the projects you bid on in each town, and a monthly count of quote requests and calls, split by project type.
Specialty trades
Concrete crews, framers and other specialty contractors get the same approach, narrowed to the one or two services you sell and the towns you cover. Some trades add timing on top: roofing demand jumps the week after a hail storm, so storm and replacement pages need to rank before the season, not after. If most of your work comes from general contractors rather than homeowners, I focus on the commercial pages they check before they call.
One trade, one tight set of pages.
REAL CLIENTS, REAL NUMBERS
No general contractor case study yet, so here are four local businesses I ranked from scratch, led by two trade sites that brought 744 calls in six months.
Brand new site, zero paid ads. 1.57K clicks and 115K impressions over 16 months, and 374 calls from Google Search and Maps in the first half of 2026 alone, from people who needed a plumber now.
Launched with nothing, no clicks, no impressions. 2.09K clicks and 86K impressions over 16 months, and 370 calls from Google Search and Maps in the first half of 2026. No ad spend.
Urgent service where whoever ranks first takes the call. Tracked in SerpFox: one term from ~90 to top 3, another from 26 to 2nd, a third from the 50s to 2nd.
My first ever SEO project, my mom's salon. Grew to 1.19K clicks and 48K impressions, reaching positions 1-2 on Google for the searches that bring in clients.
Homeowners and property managers looking for a contractor open the three map listings, compare reviews, photos and years in business, then ask two or three of them to quote. Being one of those three is how you get invited to bid in the first place.

A contractor needs to see quote requests by project type, because one addition is worth more than twenty small repairs. The report should also show rankings in every town you bid in, not just around your yard.
Monthly SEO Report
General contracting, month 6Example report
| Keyword | Map pack | Organic |
|---|---|---|
| General contractor | #12 to #4 | #27 to #8 |
| Home addition contractor | #9 to #3 | #22 to #7 |
| Commercial build-out | #15 to #6 | #31 to #11 |
The ranking rows are an example layout. The calls and ad spend are real figures from the electrician and plumbing case studies.
Most SEO companies for contractors sell one package to roofers, painters and builders alike, then hand you to an account manager. With me the person you talk to does the work, and if you are comparing the top SEO companies for contractors, ask each one for call data from a real trade site, like mine above.

Three steps, built around getting you asked to quote on the projects you want.
I list the projects you want more of, from additions to commercial build-outs, and the towns where you want to work. Then I check who holds the map pack and page one for each, and what their sites and reviews have that yours do not, so the plan starts with the highest-value bids.
Then I fix what stops owners from asking you to quote: a profile with the wrong category, one generic services page, no license or insurance shown, slow galleries and quote forms that ask too much. Each project type gets its own page with photos, your process and a simple way to request a quote.
Then I keep building: links from suppliers and local groups, matching details on every directory, a page for each finished project and a review request at closeout. Your report shows rankings per project type and town, plus the quote requests they brought.
A few simple rules, so you know exactly what to expect. They keep the work on results, not meetings.
A short intro call, then a second call where I walk you through your audit and plan. After that, things stay simple over email, and I reply within a day.
One clear report on the same date every month: your money keyword rankings, the calls they bring and the links I built.
Work starts once I have access to your Google Business Profile and main listings. It takes about 20 minutes.
If your site holds you back, I rebuild it once around the services you want to rank for. One review round, no endless redesigns.
A simple agreement, not a 12-month contract. Cancel anytime with 30 days notice, because it has to work for both of us.
Your website, content, profiles and accounts stay in your name. If we ever stop working together, you keep all of it.
If that sounds like how you like to work, send me your site. Book an Intro Call
Plans start at $2,000 a month, month to month with 30 days' notice. A contractor bidding in one county usually fits Starter, while one quoting residential and commercial work across a metro usually needs Growth.

One signed addition or renovation can be worth more than a year of SEO, and good clients come back and send their neighbors. Put in your own numbers to see how many extra quote requests a month cover the plan.
1. Your numbers
What one client is worth to you over time: the first contract plus change orders, later projects and referrals.

What you keep from each sale after the costs of delivering it (labor, materials, product or service costs). Leave at 100% to judge on revenue.
Out of 10 quote requests (calls or forms), how many turn into a signed contract?
Nobody can promise an exact number, and keyword tools miss a lot of local searches. Try a few. I will give you a realistic range for your area on the intro call.

2. What it is worth

That is all it takes for SEO to pay for itself. Could Google bring you that many more a month?

Want a second opinion? I will check these numbers with you on the intro call, honestly.
An estimate from your own numbers, not a promise of results. SEO usually takes 4 to 12 months to build up.
What general contractors ask before hiring someone for SEO.
Most SEO services cost from $1,500 to $10,000+ a month, depending on the market and how much work the site needs. My plans start at $2,000 a month, month to month, and a single signed contract can cover months of it.
Map pack movement often shows in 2 to 4 months and organic rankings in 4 to 6 months or more. Owners take time to decide on a contractor, so signed work usually follows a while after the first quote requests.
Shared leads go to several contractors at once, so you end up racing on price. A quote request from your own site or profile comes only to you, and the rankings keep working after the work is done. Many contractors keep one lead source running while SEO builds.
No, and be careful with anyone who does, because nobody controls Google. What I can promise is the work itself, a daily view of rankings and a monthly count of quote requests, month to month, so you can leave if it is not working.
Yes. New homes sell on floor plans and lots rather than quotes, so I offer SEO for home builders for that side of the business, and firms bidding on commercial projects get construction company SEO built around developer bid lists. If you run a trade business in the UK or Australia, SEO for tradies covers the same ground with the directories used there. Fence and deck crews get their own setup through my fence company SEO services.
Usually yes. Homeowners and commercial owners search differently and want different proof, so each gets its own pages, photos and quote form. It also helps Google show the right page for each search.
Not ready to hire anyone yet? These are the 12 things I check first on a contractor's Google Business Profile, from categories and service areas to the review details that get you asked to quote.
It downloads right away and lands in your inbox too. No newsletter.
